Using a good disinfecting after-shave is important to prevent irritation and razor bumps after shaving. This product does the job. It contains alcohol and witch hazel, which disinfects the skin. The Aloe helps sooth irritated skin. What I like about this product is that it does not have an overpowering perfume. It is a pleasant, clean, somewhat earthy scent that does not linger.
A couple things to note: Because of the high alcohol content it is definitely bracing and can sting a bit, but I actually like that. Makes me feel like it's doing the job. If you don't like the alcohol, then you will not like this. Second, this is a called a "lotion" but it is not cream based lotion. Because of the alcohol and witch hazel, this is astringent, which means it dries the skin. You will want to avoid this if that is a problem, or simply use a moisturizer afterwards. I use Nivea sensitive skin after shave balm. It is a lotion-based after-shave, with a very mild, neutral scent.
