Great iron supplement
Very happy with this iron supplement. I’ve purchased this twice now. No constipation, gentle on my stomach (I do take it with food that’s free of dairy/calcium for better absorption).
Every body is different and stomach sensitivity is very personal, so this product will work great for some, and not for others. Best to try. I had looked into the best iron that avoid constipation, and iron bisglycinate was consistently recommended. I’ve used the Thorne prenatal previously and loved the quality.
In terms of effectiveness, we’ll see after the 3 month repeat bloodwork.

Disappointed
This product is hard on stomach. Used Thorne Ferrasorb before, it’s little bit pricier but was great on my stomach. I wish I bought Ferrasorb instead.

Not a great fit for my needs
I have iron deficiency and was previously on ferrous sulfate which was effective at boosting my iron levels but came with bad GI side effects (black stool and constipation). I was on 120 mg of elemental iron with ferrous sulfate and switched to Thorne iron bisglycinate because I heard it was gentler on the stomach. I took 100 mg daily which equated to 4 pills. It's true that it was gentler on the stomach (stool was more green-ish brown versus black) and I tolerated it quite well because I didn't have any constipation. However, it was not effective, given my ferritin level was 58 pre-Thorne iron bisglycinate and, after 4 months, I only went up to 62. Granted, I do have heavy periods, but ferrous sulfate seemed to be more effective for me. I switched back to ferrous sulfate given my goal is to boost my ferritin level and just sucked up the bad side effects. Thorne iron bisglycinate was also costing me a fortune since I needed 4 pills daily which meant buying a bottle every 2 weeks. It's a great product for maintenance of iron levels and for being gentler on the stomach but not a good fit for my purposes since my goal was to boost my iron levels.
