Herbal Select Borage Oil is grown pesticide-free on the Canadian
prairies. Rich in Omega-6 fatty acids — especially Gamma Linolenic Acid
(GLA) — it is cold-pressed and specially processed to ensure purity,
potency and safety. Borage oil contains the highest level of GLA of any
seed oil.
Cautions: To avoid minor side effects such as bloating,nausea,upset stomach, burping and loose stools (diarrhea),take EFA supplements with meals. Start with lower doses and increase gradually,and/or divide the daily dose into smaller portions.Dividing the dose also helps with absorption.
Directions: Take 1 softgel (1 g) 3 times per day with meals.
Ingredients: 1000 mg of 100% pure cold-pressed borage oil.

I have used borage oil for my rheumatoid arthritis for several years because there is evidence that it helps control inflammation in RA. My arthritis is under control, and I was able to stop using naproxen, so borage oil could possibly be contributing to my improvement (along with medications, fish oil, vitamin D, and generally taking care of myself). I like the Herbal Select brand of borage oil as the borage is grown pesticide-free in Canada, and the oil is manufactured in Canada.

I starting taking borage oil to help my skin in the winter months. It was always dry to the point where it was hurting, and after trying many hand creams I could never solve the problem. Now my skin is great no matter what time of the year -- and I NEVER need to use hand cream which is a huge bonus. I often get complimented about how soft my skin is and I'm in my 40's!

This product is very good in my opinion. I use it to relieve my dry eyes and I understand that it helps improve skin. It has definitely helped me. I would recommend it to anyone.
