The wrapper is BPI and TUV certified for compostability in standard conditions. joni use's 5% from all sales to support menstrual equity initiatives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slim and discreet I have been trying the Joni organic cotton tampons and I’m pretty happy with them so far! I was never really a fan of the tampons without the applicator, but now I lean more towards organic and compostable products which outweighs the cons of not having the applicator. The packaging is basic and discreet, and they are small enough to fit 16 in one small box! They say they have a curved tip for insertion but I don’t really see that on mine. The bonus?? They are a Canadian company!!! They do come in 3 different options like other tampon companies - light, medium and super. These are the light ones and are definitely suited for light flow. - Product gifted by joni.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Eeek... I've been using another brand of organic tampons without an applicator for years. Deciding to give these ones a try was a mistake. They seem to be rougher than any other tampon I have ever used. They are difficult to put in for this reason. It's not only a super uncomfortable feeling inserting these, but I have a hard time getting them in all of the way. It doesn't matter how heavy my flow is...these feel rough going in. I've even tried to lube them and while it does help, it doesn't completely remedy the situation. I would stay far away from this brand of tampons.

Made with certified organic cotton, they’re free from harmful chemicals, fragrances, and dyes. They’re compact, discreet, and surprisingly absorbent for their size. The lack of an applicator might take a little getting used to if you're new to non-applicator styles, but the comfort and eco-friendliness make it worth it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not to be dramatic… but you need to make the switch I love how Joni’s tampons fits perfectly in my bag (no more rogue tampons floating around), the tampons are made with organic cotton, and I feel GOOD knowing I’m covered whether I’m lifting at the gym, at work, or just being busy with my girls. Honestly, once I realized what’s in most tampons, I was like yah no and haven’t looked back from using Joni. If you’ve been looking for a brand that cares about what goes in your body, this is it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Organic and Comfortable I love that these tampons are easy to remove despite being so compact (applicators are handy, but non-applicator tampons are so portable). I feel really good about these tampons being 100% certified organic cotton. Oddly enough I recently had a conversation with a friend who made the switch to organic period products due to a recent reaction to the synthetic period products. These are really comfortable and overall the product itself and Joni as a company sets me at ease about the products I'm using.

Typically, I choose tampons with applicators vs. those without, however I was very happy with these being applicator free. Super absorbent and very effective. They are easy to insert by design and have an organic cotton string with a knot to ensure safe and easy tampon removal. I love how portable they are. It’s comforting knowing they are certified free from toxins and definitely a more sustainable option.
