Manuka Honey is a delicious creamy honey, well known for its unique taste. Manuka Health selects only the finest raw honey for their products and great care is taken to ensure that the level of bioactive compounds are preserved. A modern closed hot water system is used to melt the crystals that have formed during storage so the honey can be creamed and packed. This process does not exceed the natural temperature of the beehive, therefore preserving the benefits of the honey.
All incoming Manuka honey is tested and graded into five categories based on the minimum Methylglyoxal content. Methylglyoxal is a natural occurring compound found in Manuka Honey. The higher the Methylglyoxal content, the stronger the active constituents of the Manuka Honey.
