The benefit of refined coconut oil is that it has a higher smoke point than virgin coconut oil. You can cook with it at up to 400°F (versus 350°F for virgin coconut oil). It also has a neutral scent and flavor (versus virgin coconut oil which has a distinct coconut smell and flavor). This makes it ideal for recipes where a coconut flavor is not desired. Refined Coconut Oil and Virgin Coconut Oil have the same benefits of 63% Medium Chain Triglycerides and 50% Lauric Acid.

I really like this product and I love the coconut scent. I use this product as an all body moisturizer, and as a makeup remover. I love using this product on my face at night and especially during the winter months.
It works well keeping my eye lashes soft, supple and free of breakage. Before applying my waterproof mascara, I apply a little bit of this product to my finger and apply it to my eye lashes. I also apply it to my eyebrows to prevent breakage ( if you are 49 and over you know what I'm talking about). :)) I use it on my hair, and as a carrier for my essential oils. Coconut oil is so versatile. I would definitely order this product again, as well as recommend it. Enjoy! :))

Perfect replacement for butter, margarine or any other oil in higher-heat cooking (especially if you are dairy intolerant). I have been using Nutiva's virgin coconut oil (for body/teeth care, smoothies, etc) for quite some time, but I love the fact that the refined version has no coconutty flavours for dishes that aren't suited to it. Definite repurchase!

Coconut oil is used at our house for many things, principally for cooking and making skin care products. I know what it in the products I make myself and they keep my skin happy in our dry climate. The only reason this coconut oil doesn't get a 5/5 is that I can often find better prices for organic coconut oil locally.
