Glass thermometer. Mercury-free.
Instructions for use:
- Remove thermometer from the case.
- Check if fluid level is below 36°C. To bring down the level hold thermometer at the end opposite to the probe and shake with rapid snapping action of the wrist (15-20 times).
- Insert thermometer in a thermometer probe cover.
- Place thermometer under tongue, and keep lips closed over thermometer. Wait for at least 4 minutes.
- For axillary use, wipe armpit with dry towel. Place probe in the armpit and keep the arm pressed firmly against the side for 4 minutes.
- Remove the thermometer and hold at eye level. Rotate the thermometer gently to and fro to clearly see the liquid column.
- Always clean the thermometer before and after use using cold soapy water and/or with isopropyl alcohol. Dry thoroughly and store in protective case.
Storage Conditions: Store between -15 to 42°C in a dry place.
Note: A gap in the
Galinstan® does not affect the accuracy and performance of the
thermometer. Red indication on the scale shows normal body temperature.

Don’t buy this
I would give it zero stars if I could. It does not work. It is impossible to shake the line below 36. I put it under my tongue anyway for 5 minutes. It did not move. I went to utube to find out how to make this thermometer work. Apparently centrifugal force will make the line move below 36 where it will actually make the line move while under your tongue. Nope. What a loser, I fell for this thermometer. DO NOT BUY THIS!
