Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Perfect, But Still The Head Shaver To Beat! This head shaver is one that gets better as you use it. I've never experienced that before, and I've owned more than one electric shaver. It initially struggled on the back of my head (extremely thick), but now it doesn't struggle back there at all. It's even gotten better at catching some of the flat-laying hairs I have on the sides of my head. I also dealt with some serious razor burn in the beginning, and was in agony rinsing off in the shower. Most electric shaver manufacturers claim there's an adjustment period, and the irritation goes away. That wasn't true in my previous experiences. However, the Philips shaver is different, and now irritation is minimal to non-existent. The USB-C to proprietary cable is a welcome change. I hate having to plug everything into my bedside outlet. I just wish Philips, along with other brands, would switch to putting USB ports on the machines themselves. All that being said, this isn't a perfect shaver. The build quality leaves something to be desired. And the heads gets clogged rather quickly. It's much like a cartridge razor, in that regard. I shave in sections and have to stop after completing each one, to rinse it out. The way I do this is; keep the machine running, hold it under the faucet, let gravity drain most of the water out, and then give it a gentle shake. A small annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless.
