Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast action relief I have trusted this product as long as it has been on the market. I am prone to ear infections and as soon as there is indication of an ear infections, I put a couple drops of the Polysporin antibiotic ear and eye drops in my ear, and within a couple hours, I can already feel relief from the throbbing. I keep a bottle in my medicine cabinet at all times.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not recommending Used eye drops as soon as evident symptoms of Pink eye started. Within minutes after 1st drops, eye got much worse, very red and itchy yet tolerable. By next day, on second application, it became clear redness was worsening right after drops applied as well the sting and extreme itching became absolutely intolerable, I stopped using your product. Do you have Alcohol and much preservatives in product? Is: units and mg of Antibiocs too high?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Always works for me I have bought this product a couple times and I have always been pleased with it. I see there are a lot of comments about redness and burning. I have never experienced this. My pink eye clears up in a few days and these drops help to relieve itching, reduce the gunk and soothe my eyes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive and painful Bought these for a very sore and scratchy eye. They stung my eye so badly, and dried it out more than it even was. Honestly, it made it feel even worse. I do not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed! My eye is so much better! What a great product! I'm so happy with how much better my eye feels after just a few days of use. My eyes were so sore and I could tell it would turn into a bad case of pink eye. I bought these drops and immediately started treatment. I started with the 1 drop as per the bottle, 4 times a day. The best way to get the medicine in is to lay down, apply the drops, and remain that way for a few minutes. You will feel the drops in your eyes - there is a sensation of the medicine moving around your eye. It's not really painful, just slightly uncomfortable. It does not last long, and to me it was indicator that they medicine was working. Contact lens wearers - I followed the instructions and did not wear my lenses while using the drops. I think this made a huge difference and helped the drops do their job.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Made the Stinging Way Worse I had mild conjunctivitis and bought these drops. Ouch! They made my eyes so red and stinging that I couldn't drive. I can not recommend them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I do not recommend this product with my experience I have had conjunctivitis several times as a cat owner who has a cat that enjoys sleeping on bed linen. I am also allergic to cats ironically. So when I developed conjunctivitis, I would usually go to the energency department prior to pharmacist prescription. The first time I went to a pharmacist, I received medicated eye drops, which worked. There was no burning or irritation. The recent trip, however (4 days ago), was different. They hawked this medication at me and explained they needed to prescribe it first. (note: I am a registered nurse by profession) So I assume its government or buisness legislation. Rather than go through a paid insurance program (which I have) they turn to the generic medication. I used this new medication and it burned. I thought well this is new. Maybe its fighting the infection? Maybe there are small tears its getting into. Like alcohol on a wound. Day 2 thinking it would improve. No. It got worse. Taking it every 6 hours. When getting ready for sleep. I put it in and it kept me awake all night wondering if the infection got worse. My eyes were swollen and burning. By morning, my eye couldn't open. Tonight is the last night I am using it. I just rinsed out my eye and wanted to leave a review as it is unmanageable. The pharmacist I saw today at the same buisness said to go to see a physician... Over conjunctivitis... I have a few days off from work. Luckily (I guess) this occured on my day off. I worry for those who require the time off to deal with this situation. This medication does not help, and I recommend avoiding it. If I continued using it, not only would my patients be affected from my sick time, but my own sleep deprivation would cause harm. Avoid it at all costs. I found this review forum from google. Typing in the product with "burns my eye". I found other responses with the same below. Avoid this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally, no prescription needed.... Having had allergies for 35+ years, I have often suffered with pink eye. Being able to go get it without a prescription is wonderful. My only issue with the product is the force needed to squeeze the product out of the bottle. I have some arthritis in my hands and fingers and have a really tough time squeezing the bottle to get the product out. An easier to squeeze bottle would rate 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great ! After reading several negative reviews i was skeptical about how well Polysporin for pink eye would work. I had an eye infection, not sure if it was pinkeye, but it was very sore. The drops completely cleared the infection in about 48 hrs. I would definitely use it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works when I needit When I can find it in the store I will buy 2 boxes for it seems to disappear fast off the shelves. It works well but seems to 'burn' a bit when putting into the eyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I used this Polysporin Eye and Ear Drops when I was unfortunate enough to get a pink eye infection. This over-the-counter treatment was just what I needed and saved me a visit to the doctor. The drops work well. My symptoms cleared within a few days. I treated pink eye a few different ways. I have found this to be a very convenient, and sterile solution. I would recommend these drops to anyone that needs treatment for pink eye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleared my pink eye I'm so glad this product exists. I started using it 1 day into what I figured was pink eye. After about 48 hours my pink eye was cleared, no more itching and the redness had subsided. I continued using the drops according to the instructions and it never came back. Drops were easy, I didn't experience any burning. Such a relief as it was the weekend and clinics are closed here.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't help my eye infection (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) A pharmacist recommended the Polysporin pink eye treatment to me. It's available over the counter at most drug stores. I used it as directed on the packaging but unfortunately, it didn't help me at all. At least it didn't make my eye worse and it didn't sting when I applied the drops. In the end, I had to seek medical advice at an ophthalmology clinic and use prescription eye drops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polysporin eye drops for pink eye My daughter started to show signs of pink eye. I went straight down and bought these drops and followed the direction provided. They started working within a day. I redcommend this to other consumers. Although if it doesn't clear up you may be dealing with viral pinkeye and should see a Doctor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have used this product and it is very good, a l. Purchased and pretty good. I would buy again. It works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it's supposed to do First off I'd like to say that obviously this product only works on bacterial conjunctivitis (as opposed to viral) because it is labelled as an "antibiotic" product. I don't see how someone can give it a bad rating because it only takes care of bacterial infections when that is what it is intended to do. Anyway I've never used it as an ear drop so I can't attest to that but I have used it as eye drops for both bacterial conjunctivitis and for styes and I think it works great. It clears things up in a reasonable amount of time. Some people say that it burns their eyes but I've never had any burning or stinging with it and usually I have pretty sensitive eyes so I guess it must depend on the person. My one complaint is that the bottle is very difficult to squeeze. According to the description there is a "new easy squeeze bottle" but I know my bottle was the old style because it's the same style as many bottles I've had before. I'll have to try that new bottle and hopefully it will work better than the previous style

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works My daughter showed symptoms of pink eye on a Friday evening. Of course doctors office was closed, we used this based on pharmacy recommendations and it worked great. I thought it was kind of expensive, but it saved us hours sitting at emerg. Which really is priceless!
