Metamucil 3-in-1 MultiHealth Fibre made with 100% naturally sourced psyllium fibre:

• Helps to temporarily suppress appetite when taken prior to a meal: as the psyllium fibre in Metamucil powder thicken, it forms a gel, which aids in the sensation of fullness.

Directions:

1. Put powder into an empty glass.
2. Mix briskly with 240 mL of cool liquid.
3. Drink promptly. An additional glass of liquid is helpful. Use 1 rounded tablespoon or 4 level teaspoons, whichever is most convenient for you.

Start with 1 serving per day. Gradually increase to the recommended daily intake. For relief of IRREGULARITY: CHILDREN OVER 12: 1 serving up to 3 times daily. CHILDREN (6-12 YEARS): 1/2 the adult serving up to 3 times daily. Generally takes effect in 12 - 72 hours. To help lower cholesterol levels to promote HEART HEALTH: ADULTS ONLY: 1 serving 3 times daily. For best results in lowering cholesterol, take Metamucil with a meal. To help temporarily SUPPRESS APPETITE when taken prior to a meal: ADULTS ONLY: 2 servings prior to a meal up to 3 times daily. For occasional use only.   

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. May cause an allergic reaction in people sensitive to inhaled or ingested psyllium. May cause temporary gas and/or bloating. Do not use within 2 hours of taking any other medications or natural health products, or if you have: difficulty in swallowing, diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate, abdominal pain, fever, nausea or vomiting, a sudden change in bowel habits persisting for 2 weeks, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, failure to defaecate following the use of another laxative. Consult a doctor prior to use if you are taking medications which inhibit peristaltic movement (e.g. opioids, loperamide) or if constipation persists for more than seven days, symptoms worsen, or rectal bleeding occurs. Stop use as these may be signs of a serious condition. Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat and may cause choking. If you have chest pain, vomiting or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking the product, seek immediate medical attention.
