I've been taking this for two weeks now. I used to suffer from severe mood swings/depression, since the age of 8; but didn't want to rely on depression medications. I've noticed that I wake up happy and can focus more, while working out. Make sure to cycle it without negative side effects for long time use.

This product is an excellent option for anyone dealing with elevated stress levels or mild to moderate forms of depression. I began using this product 2 weeks ago. The effects are subtle at first but became more apparent after 5 days. Please consult a clinician/physician before consuming 5-HTP, just incase you already taking a variation of an SSRI. I recommend this to anyone, though it should not replace clinical/counseling therapy (if needed).

I was not quite sure what to expect. You read all about the benefits, but you can never be sure how it will work for YOU. But I was pleasantly surprised. It really helped bring me out of a funk I had been in. I had been under more stress than normal and found I couldn't quite bring myself to feel energized, calm, truly happy, etc. This seriously helped! And right away too. I did some more research and people should also know that with amino acids, you don't have to keep taking them once you find they benefit you. Instead, put them away until you feel the need for them again (i.e. they can become depleted due to numerous factors so it is possible to become deficient again). After two days I have stopped taking them! If you are eating (and properly digesting) enough protein, you will find you need less of the amino acids. But I love knowing that I have this in my cupboard if I need it.
