Bach White Chestnut Flower Essence was recommended to me as I have been having trouble sleeping due to busy thoughts of a painful experience. When I'm feeling overly anxious, I use the product at night, just as I get into bed, to help settle my thoughts in order to sleep. I will also use it if I wake with a nightmare. I find that this product does help settle my thoughts and is a good complement to the calming strategies that I use to settle at night.

First time that l've used this particular BAch flower remedy. I usually use the rescue remedy for situations of high stress, public speaking mostly; the white chestnut essence is supposed to stop the mental circus going on in one's mind, but it hasn't been able to cope with mine too well. Perhaps this is a bit unfair, because one shouldn't judge from a couple of experiences...so l'll keep using it and see how it works out. If you want something that works quickly, l 'm afraid l can't say that this one would do the trick...

I use this to help with thinking about the past and negative situations that get replayed in my mind over and over, which prompt me to reassess how I dealt with them giving me added stress over something that happened in the past. So far, after about a week I've noticed I've been thinking less about the past and more about the present ("what am I going to do today?") and future ("what would I like to do tomorrow") and it's a really great feeling not to have to relive depressing situations anymore.
